Very useful and easy to read!
This book is great for anyone who wants to better understand the art of image improvement! Without this book, I would still be struggling to understand GIMP. I have also found this book very useful when working with my favorite program, krita.

A Good Friking Book
I'm the finger in front of lens kind of guy. I point, I shoot. Red eye shots, crooked shots, etc I have in abundance. It looks like I can fix these, so I don't look like the boob I am, but GIMP isn't all that intuitive to this kid. This book walks you right through that. The sequence seems logical and there's examples, which work miracles for guys like me. It's just a good, freaking book of howto's.

,,this book is packed with more than I can possibly use.
As the front cover says it starts at the novice level and is easily readable.
I'm still in the beginning pages so cannot give it a through review but this book will no doubt get quite a bit of use.
Service from Amazon can't faulted either.

One of the Best!
I have had this book for a couple years now and I still refer to it. I read someone else's review that gave the book 3 stars with his major complaint being that this was not a reference book. I do not necessarily agree with that opinion but I would concur that this is a type of book that you want to set down and read throughly and then use it as reference book. There is an awful lot to learn from in there ;-) The book is worth every penny!
